Malcolm Harvey

     Meet Malcolm Harvey, a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong background in social work, psychology, and mental health counseling. With over 10 years of experience in individual and group counseling, Malcolm specializes in providing support to veterans and their families, navigating complex medical, psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral challenges. His dynamic communication and interpersonal skills have proven invaluable in leading and managing teams of up to 30 staff members.

     Malcolm's expertise extends to understanding state laws for legal commitment and involuntary hospitalizations, assessing and intervening with patients of suspected abuse, and implementing various treatment modalities. He has a proven track record of success in crisis intervention, program development, workforce development, and addiction counseling.

     Throughout his career, Malcolm has demonstrated a strong commitment to assisting clients with diverse needs, focusing on veterans and their families. In his current role at the United States Veterans' Initiative, Malcolm serves as a Veteran Service Associate, Healthcare Navigator, and Veteran Talent Specialist. In these capacities, he leverages his recruiting and administrative experience to source candidates for various roles and coordinate interviews, offers, and onboarding.

     Malcolm's passion for helping others extends to his previous experiences as a Graduate Social Work Intern at Mental Health America Los Angeles and LINC Housing, Inc. In these positions, he honed his skills in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and various other evidence-based interventions.

     Always willing to go the extra mile, Malcolm is prepared to relocate anywhere to continue making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. His diverse skill set and unwavering commitment to helping others make him an invaluable asset to any team or organization.
