Maricruz Manzano
Meet Maricruz Manzano, a dedicated and compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with extensive experience in the mental health field. Maricruz is highly skilled in providing crisis intervention, case management, and various therapeutic services. With her proficiency in both English and Spanish, she is able to connect and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Maricruz began her career as a Residential Counselor at Rosemary Children Services, where she implemented treatment plans and supervised daily activities for residents. As a Marriage Family Therapist Associate at South Central Consortium and Alliance Gertz-Ressler High School, she facilitated groups on a range of topics such as domestic violence, anger management, and parenting, while providing individual and group counseling services to address academic, emotional, and social problems.
Currently, Maricruz works as a Clinical Case Manager at The People Concern, where she offers crisis intervention, clinical case management services, and coordinates mental health and recovery support services for clients. She is also committed to helping clients navigate complex systems by collaborating with them to develop individualized service plans.
Maricruz holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from La Verne University and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Chemical Dependency/Drug & Alcohol Counseling from East Los Angeles Community College. Maricruz's diverse skill set, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and social work, allows her to provide comprehensive support to individuals and families in need.
