Carla Olmstead

     Carla Olmstead is a highly experienced therapist and social worker with a strong background in providing compassionate care to clients facing a variety of challenges. Her experience spans various therapeutic modalities, including Brainspotting, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, DBT, and CBT. Carla is dedicated to helping clients establish healthy boundaries, set goals, and achieve emotional well-being.

     Throughout her career, Carla has worked with a wide range of organizations, including Kindred Heart Therapy Group, Bristol Hospice and Home Health, Blossom Ridge Hospice and Home Health, New Day Counseling Center, and Family Soup Program. In these roles, she has provided vital services such as psychosocial assessments, brief therapy, crisis intervention, family counseling, and coordination of resources and referrals.

     Carla holds an M.S. in Social Work from Sacramento State University and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. Her extensive training includes certifications in Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Prevention, Child Abuse Prevention, Sand Tray, and Minuchin Family Therapy.

     As a therapist, Carla is committed to promoting healthy family dynamics, coping skills, and whole-brain thinking.
